Exciting opportunities from VENTS for KNUCA's best

The VENTS team congratulates the 2014/2015 KNUCA winners of the best course project contest based on the VENTS ventilation equipment.

This annual competition first held by "Ventilation Systems" in 2012 is aimed at promoting scientific research and creative thinking among the students of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. Encouraging young professionals is an essential element of VENTS corporate social policy consistently implemented through a series of dedicated events. Such competitions enable the talented youth to apply their knowledge and ideas into practice, share experience and acquire networking contacts among the industry experts to consider a further career with the ventilation market leader.

The contest was traditionally held among the third-year students of "Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation" Chair of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. The future ventilation engineers had to design an original ventilation solution using state-of-the-art equipment by VENTS as well as provide a clear and well-written summary of its practical benefits. The jury assessed the applications for originality, comprehensiveness, and compliance with the modern construction norms and standards. The students relied on a number of models from the current VENTS range in their projects such as the comprehensive ventilation solutions from the AirVENTS family with heat recovery for the main spaces, VENTS MPA and PA series single-block units for air supply into auxiliary spaces as well as VENTS exhaust fans for air extraction.

To ensure fair and objective review all the course projects are graded by the board of experts including:

  • Vladimir Dovgalyuk, Assistant Professor of "Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation" Chair of KNUCA;
  • Valery Kolomiychenko, VENTS Director;
  • Lavr Kotelkov, Head of Complex Climatic Engineering and Design Solutions Department of VENTS;
  • Yelena Olenina, Manager of Complex Climatic Engineering and Design Solutions Department of VENTS;
  • Aleksandr Tikhiy, Chief Expert Analyst for Commercial Market Research and New Product Adaptation of VENTS;

According to the open vote the winner was the project submitted by S. Avramenko who was awarded the 1st place and the prize of UAH 2,000. The second place and the prize of UAH 1,500 went to A. Pinchuk while the third place and UAH 1,000 were given to V. Kravchenko. In addition to that the VENTS team commended five more contestants whose projects fell just a little short of the podium level, but nevertheless had a great potential: O. Rozhalin, M. Rasyuk, O. Mikhaylova, M. Olkhova, and G. Masyuk.

The VENTS team congratulates the winners and wishes them the best of inspiration to unlock their true engineering potential.
