Kiev University of Construction and Architecture Contest Awards Have Found their Winners!

We are extremely pleased to finally announce the winners in the contest for the best course project based on modern ventilation equipment by VENTS.

This annual competition was started by VENTS in 2012. The fundamental idea behind the contest is promotion and development of scientific research and creative thinking among the students of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. It is the lack of motivation that often discourages most students from professional development and achievement.  That is why VENTS decided to focus on supporting students in making their bold ideas and initiatives come true.

The contest has been traditionally held among the third-year students of "Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation" Chair of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. The event is regulated by a codex of rules and guidelines used for evaluating the future experts' projects. The students have to design a new ventilation solution using the state-of-the-art equipment by VENTS, provide a clear and well-written summary with the argumentation in support of ideas presented, and apply their entire creative potential to elaborate on the research topic.

Objective evaluation of the course projects is ensured by a rigorously selected contest jury this year consisting of:

  • Vladimir Dovgalyuk, Assistant Professor of "Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation" Chair of KNUCA;
  • Valeriy Kolomiychenko, VENTS Director;
  • Lavr Kotelkov, Head of Complex Climatic Engineering and Design Solutions Department of VENTS;
  • Yelena Olenina, Manager of Complex Climatic Engineering and Design Solutions Department of VENTS;
  • Aleksandr Tikhiy, Chief Expert Analyst for Commercial Market Research and New Product Adaptation of VENTS.

The students demonstrated their best ingenuity and creativeness taking home cash prizes and certificates of merit.

The contestants who proved their commitment to make the cream of the crop of the future ventilation industry elite were duly awarded. This year Kirill Khovansky scored a decisive victory and a prize of UAH 1,500, but he was not alone in that. The second-place winner Andrey Radzikhovsky got a UAH 1,300 award while Andrey Sherstyuk who closed the leading trio - UAH 1,000.

In addition to that VENTS commended the other nine runners-up whose projects fell short of the podium level, but were still worthy of praise for the respectable amount of work: Dzyuba, Finekichen, Chernenkiy, Yershov, Adryanov, Dimoretsky, Koziy, Gerasko and Nivchik.

The entire VENTS teams send their congratulations to the winners wishing the best of luck in their creative careers.
