Following the recent updates to the range of heat recovery air handling units "Ventilation Systems" introduced a number of new models in the family of centrifugal roof fans. The family now features two new centrifugal roof fans – the VKV EC and the VKH EC.
The clients can now choose from fans with 190, 225 and 630 mm turbines which significantly expand the application range. In addition to the new model a number of existing ones received mission-critical upgrades.
All the VKV EC and VKH EC fans feature improved electronically commutated (EC) turbines with a wide power and air capacity range. EC motors have no rubbing or wearing parts such as motor commutator and brushes. Instead an EC motor utilises an electronic EC controller circuit board which ensures outstanding fan efficiency also offering excellent controllability and long service life.
The fan performance and energy consumption are directly related to the turbine size. The power consumption ranges between 100 and 3 000 W (from the smallest to the largest standard size) while the air capacity range is 670 to 18 270 m3/h.
Besides a host of technical upgrades, the VKV EC series fans also benefit from visual improvements. The units have received a number of styling touches and shrank in size. In addition to that the turbine is now installed on a swivel bracket to enable maintenance without dismounting the unit.
The VKV EC and VKH EC fans are used for controlled ventilation of banks, offices, restaurants, hotels and other public spaces while smaller fans can be used in residential spaces. While both are installed on rooftops the VKV EC fans are equipped with vertical air exhaust outlets while the VKH EC fans feature horizontal outlets. The model range includes units with various casing variants including galvanised steel (VKVc EC and VKHc EC), aluminium (VKVA EC and VKHA EC) or polymer-coated steel (VKV EC and VKH EC). Thanks to high corrosion resistance such casings offer outstanding protection against the elements (rain, snow etc.).
Keeping abreast of the changing demands of the ventilation market equipment manufacturers continuously improve their offerings in order to stay on top of the game. The updates and additions to the VKV EC and VKH EC families of roof fans mark a new stage in the implementation of the continuous product development policy of "Ventilation Systems".
