One more engineering marvel in VENTS equipment fleet

True leaders never rest on their laurels always seeking opportunities for further improvement. Staying true to this paradigm, VENTS pursues a sustainable policy of upgrading its equipment and implementing cutting-edge technology to keep ahead of the competition. The recent commissioning of a TRUMPF TruBend 5085 bending machine with upgraded functionality marks another milestone in ensuring technological superiority of the company's metal processing shop.

The new machine benefits from the use of Trumpf's laser-based Automatically Controlled Bending (ACB) technology for highly precise operation. The actual bending is performed in two steps: first the sheet is bent 6 degrees less of the target value and then the laser projects a line onto the sheet which is picked up by the camera enabling fine control while the tool automatically completes the stroke to form the necessary shape. Before this technology every angle correction used to require operator input.

The bending machine also benefits from the installation of LED lighting both in front and inside the machine and video cameras which greatly improve operator's convenience and provide better control of the operations. A 3D view on the monitor provides real-time control over the positions and movements of the tools and the bending progress. The latest version of the TecZone Bend software makes setting up the parameters a lot easier than before.

Thanks to the gauge fingers, which are independent from one another, the system support maximum part variety. The position of the blank part can be changed remotely eliminating the need for manual interference. The movable wireless control system makes the operator's daily work safer and easier: the MagicShoe switch can be moved as required along the 4 m long machine to directly control the stroke without touching the monitor screen. High bending precision is matched by equally impressive bending performance as a single bend takes only 12 seconds. And, finally, there is the BendGuard system which moves automatically to the tool height of the set-up upper tools adding to operating safety.
