Vents Stream: fresh air without noise

Some of the main requirements for ventilation equipment nowadays are low noise level and energy-efficiency. In order to meet the market demands, Vents has designed new Stream and Stream EC inline mixed-flow fans characterized by quiet operation and low energy consumption.

The new fans are intended for use in supply, exhaust and supply-exhaust ventilation systems in residential, commercial and public premises with increased requirements to noise level and energy-efficiency. These fans are an optimal solution for organizing ventilation in residential buildings, educational institutions, kindergartens, conference halls, libraries, etc. The fans are compatible with round air ducts with diameters of 100, 125, 150 and 160 mm.

Stream and Stream EC are mixed-flow fans, which means that they combine wide capabilities and high technical characteristics of axial and centrifugal fans. Conical shape of the impeller and specially profiled blades increase the circular velocity of the air flow and provide higher pressure and performance when compared to conventional axial fans. The maximum air flow capacity of Stream series is 540 m3/h and 600 m3/h for Stream EC series.

The fans are equipped with sound-insulated casing made of high-quality and durable plastic. Low noise level during fan operation is achieved due to a number of design decisions. The fan casing has a special inner perforation that directs sound waves passing through it at a certain angle onto a layer of noise-absorbing material. 50 mm thick mineral wool is used for noise and heat insulation. The diffuser, a specially designed impeller and directing vanes at the fan casing outlet distribute the air flow in such a way so as to reduce the noise level.

Utilization of energy-efficient motors in these fans allows reducing power consumption. Stream model fans are equipped with a single-phase three-speed motor, which depending on fan modification and speed, consumes from 28 to 55 W. Stream EC fans are equipped with a highly efficient electronically commutated (EC) direct current motor, which is characterized by high productivity and optimal control throughout the whole range of rotation speeds. EC motors demonstrate high efficiency factor (up to 90 %) and as of today are considered to be the most advanced solution in the field of energy-efficiency.

New Vents fans are made using modern polymer materials that allow significantly reduce their weight and therefore make mounting and maintenance much easier. Another advantage of plastic is its excellent resistance to moisture, which allows using Stream and Stream EC series fans in increased humidity environments.
