The standard models of Breezy and Breezy Eco heat exchangers have a 440 mm long working module and are ideal for installation in a wall of that thickness. However, how does one install the devices if the wall is thicker or thinner? For such cases, Ventilation Systems offers new extended models of heat exchangers and special accessories for them.
For walls with a thickness under 440 mm, we offer a set of decorative compensation pads with standardized lengths of 40, 80, 120, 160 and 200 mm. These pads are installed on the heat recovery unit's working module on the outside of the wall and cover the part of the unit facing outward. For example, if the wall thickness is less than 440 mm, you need to determine its thickness in millimeters, calculate the difference and purchase a decorative compensation pad whose length is equal to this difference. Suppose the wall thickness is 320 mm. In this case, you will need a 120 mm long compensation pad (440–320=120).
For thicker walls over 440 mm thick, the company offers new extended models of Breezy and Breezy Eco heat exchangers – L055, L07 and L1 models. In these models, the length of the working module is 550, 700 and 1000 mm, respectively. If the wall thickness matches the length of the working module, you can proceed to installation. However, if the wall is thinner, you will only need to calculate the difference and shorten the outer hood by this extra length first, and then shorten the extension pipe used in these models.
For example, the wall thickness is 660 mm. Breezy L07 and Breezy Eco L07 heat exchangers are suitable for such a wall. Since the difference between the length of the working module of the device and the wall thickness is 40 mm, you need to shorten the outer hood and the extension pipe by 40 mm, and the heat exchanger will be ready for installation.
