Expansion chambers RK are designed to ensure the integrity and safe operation of ventilation systems inside defense structures by reducing the pressure of the shock wave to a safe level. This is critical during emergencies when excess pressure from an explosion can damage the ventilation system or cause hazardous substances to enter the premises. RK chambers are installed in the path of the shock wave, downstream of the anti-explosion device (MZR, UZR).
The transported air temperature should be from -20 °C to +40 °C. The chamber can be operated in a temperate (Y) climate of the 2nd placement category (Y2) in accordance with DSTU 15150 standards.
Expansion chambers are made of powder-coated RAL 5007 Muar carbon steel, which ensures corrosion resistance and durability.
Each chamber consists of the following elements:
The expansion chamber is installed by welding the plug to the base plates in the floor, around the bottom.
