Series Vents VV-P

Flow meter and cut-off valve (rectangular)
APPLICATION

The flow meter and cut-off valve is designed to determine the air flow rate of a system that includes an ERV series electrically and manually driven fan. The device also acts as a non-return valve after the fan stops operating.

TECHNICAL DATA

The valve is made of powder-coated carbon steel in accordance with RAL 5007 Muar and is only available with a rectangular cross-section. The valve can only be installed in a vertical position. No requirements are specified for thermal conductivity or leakage class. VV-P valves are only used for ERV fans.
The transported air temperature should be from -20 °C to +40 °C. The valve can be operated in a temperate (Y) climate of the 2nd placement category (Y2).

DESIGN

The valve has a prismatic shape and consists of the following elements:

  • sheet steel casing;
  • damper installed on a horizontal axis;
  • rectangular connecting flanges.

The damper acts as a shut-off and control element. The damper rotates, along with the axis, under the pressure of air coming from the fan. The axis has an arrow installed to indicate the air flow rate on the scale. During operation of the electrically and manually driven fan, the damper opens at the value set by the arrow. After the fan stops, the damper returns to the horizontal position and cuts off the fan from the ventilation network.
